Eat & Drink

Ballers Freo's menu is divided into a couple of sections:

  • Little Bites: delicious share-plates - think fries, wings (six different flavours available), karaage fried chicken and popcorn prawns
  • Burgs & Sandos - no explanation needed here - burgs and sando served with fries and chip sauce of your choosing
  • Main Events - your classic pub fare like parmis, steaks and pies.

A smaller take-away menu is also available, featuring a curated selection from their Little Bites and Burgs & Sando sections of the menu.

Our favourite during our visit was the their burger of the month - the chicken parmi burger. Having not devoured a parmi for a long time - this hit the spot. The burger was well balanced and we appreciated the balsamic slaw and rocket which kept things a little lighter.

The fried prawn po-boy was packed full of juicy prawns and once again, the slaw helped to balance out the heavier, fried elements and remoulade.

🍗 Karaage Fried Chicken Bites $12 - Japanese style fried chicken, nori mayo, sesame

Our favourite side that we ordered was the karaage fried chicken bites. We enjoyed the slight dusting of what tasted like ginger and mayo (can't have karaage without some mayo, specifically kewpie!).

We were finally submitted via a food coma after having the Carolina sweet mustard cauliflower bites.

On their taps, you'll find Canning Vale based Campus Brewing, Adelaide based Pirate Life and Coopers, a number of other Aussie brewers and Pabst Blue Ribbon*. We washed everything down with one of their cherry bombs and a pint of Pirate Life's South Coast Pale Ale.

*fun but somewhat unrelated fact: A famous shoe company, best known for sponsoring many famous athletes, was originally called Blue Ribbon Sports.
