The details 📝
We've got lots of photos, so use the hyperlinks to navigate.
Cafe Guilty Pleasure is our favourite Korean-style cafe in Perth and has a solid spot on our rotation of dessert places. Their menu covers a wide range of Asian and Korean style desserts and beverages, including cakes, bingsu, Asian flavoured drinks (matcha, dalgona, black sesame, etc.) and coffee.
In late 2021, Cafe Guilty Pleasure opened up their second store in Mount Lawley. Both stores feature a cute and dainty interior and serve up the same menu. Having visited nearly a dozen times collectively between both their stores, we find there's something for everyone on the menu. The menu is akin to those found at gelato or ice-cream stores - get whatever interests you!
Our general recommendation is getting a croffle if you're by yourself or your friends aren't willing to share (boo 👎). Otherwise, Guilty Pleasure's cube toast and bingsu are perfect to share. Their cube toast and bingsu can probably be shared between 2 - 3 people comfortably.
Bingsu
Bingsu is a Korean shaved ice dessert and is best enjoyed when shared with friends. Each of Guilty Pleasure's bingsu are filled to the brim with toppings and the shaved ice is saturated with flavour but not overwhelmingly sweet.
Croffle
Croffles were first created by Irish pastry chef Louise Lennox are essentially a (delicious) love child between a waffle maker and pastry. They're also a super popular dessert in Korea. Be sure fork out the extra $2 to get the double.
Beverages
Guilty Pleasure serves up a number of Asian drinks. Italian coffee is also available.
Northbridge Store
Guilty Pleasure's original store. Limited outdoor seating is available.
Mount Lawley Store
Guilty Pleasure's second store, located about 10 minutes away in Mount Lawley.
The Mount Lawley store features a similarly furnished decor and is substantially bigger. A staircase leads guests up to small upstairs dining section while a small alfresco area can be found at the back of the store.
