Cyclists (or cycling hobbyists) after a pitstop on their route, or for folks craving a nostalgic Malaysian breakfast.
What type of food is available?
Good coffee, Malaysian-style breakfast such as kaya toast and nasi lemak bungkus, and pantry staples like meat pies and pastries.
What should I order?
- Fried Chicken Nasi Lemak
- Tom Yum Mee Siam
- Any of their set meals, which pairs toast, pies or rolls with a drink of your choice.
How much will it cost?
- Sets cost under $10 - which includes bread of choice, soft boiled eggs and a hot drink
- Pies, pasties and sausage rolls go for around $6-7.

The details 📝
Pedal Cafe, opened in late 2020, is the culmination of passion meets profession. Think of when a child is asked "What do you want to be when you grow up?", and they'd answer "I want to open a candy shop" because they love candy so much. This is the vibe one gets when they visit Pedal Cafe. Owner Allen previously had a decades-long career in banking before his venture in hospitality. As an avid cyclist, it is very on-brand of Allen to open a cafe that also doubles as a cycling apparel store, featuring apparel and accessories from Australian brand, Black Sheep Cycling.
The nasi lemak is always a hearty choice for breakfast. Pedal's nasi lemak has sambal that is punchy and sweet, with individually wrapped anchovies to preserve it's crunch. We would prefer for the rice to have a bit more coconut flavour, but that's just us!
We loved the kaya toast - hot and buttery with a generous layer of kaya aka coconut jam. Pairing it with soft boiled eggs to dip your toast into is essential, adding an extra layer of savoury richness to each bite from the runny yolk.
Pedal Cafe is also doggo-friendly as there are seating options outside. See below for a series of photos of HRH Princess Pepper.
Don't forget to check out Pedal's cabinet, which are full of delicious staples such as pasties, meat pies and sausage rolls. We have yet to try these but would love to come back to try them!
