If I see a reuben on the menu, I'll order it. Simple.

Reuben sandwich $21 - 250g of pastrami rubbed corn beef, sauerkraut, cheese & Russian dressing on onion rye

How does this compare to my all time favourite reuben at Artem Coffee (Mount Pleasant)?

Satchmo wins in pricing. For $21 you get a pretty generous serving of pastrami. At time of writing, Artem's will set you back $28, though much of the cost could be attributed to the 150g of house smoked brisket.

Taste wise, Satchmo's runs more tart. Artem's runs a little on the richer and less acidic side (my preference) while not being too heavy.

Overall, Artem's reuben still reigns as my favourite - mostly due to personal preference. If I was in the area - I wouldn't hesitate to stop at Satchmo for this sandwich.
