The Best Thing We Ate ⭐️

Twenty Seats

The meal of the week goes to Twenty Seats (it actually seats around 22 πŸ˜‰), a small degustation restaurant in Highgate which previously was Petit Mort. A 10 course meal is available for $120pp.

We can't fault any of the food or service. Reservations for Twenty Seats open on the 1st of each month and quickly book out.

Pieces of cured scallop with a white sauce and a dot of chilli
πŸ¦ͺ Cured scallop, coconut broth, coriander & chilli

The cured scallop reminded us of tiradito.

A slice of duck breast with seasonal vegetables
Wagin duck breast, lentils, root vegetables & porcini

What We Ate 🍴

2 Sis Waffles

Pedicured hands holding a plate with chocolate waffles with a scoop of chocolate ice-cream on top
🍫 Chocolate overload $19.5 - Fresh made Chocolate Base topped with melted chocolate, served with dark chocolate ganache spread, chocolate biscults, toasted almond flakes and chocice of icecream

Less than a month old, 2 Sis Waffle is the newest dessert spot to hit Northbridge. You'll find it at the same premise as where Superstar Waffles once was.

Close up of waffles with ice-cream, banana slices served with a side of whipped cream
🍌 Banoffe Waffle $17.5 - Freshly made waffle served with fresh cut bananas drizzled with rich warm toffee sauce, top with candied walnuts and served with whipped cream

Dessert Garden

πŸ«– Fresh Fruit Milk Tea Hot Pot $27.8

We were invited by Yvonne, the lovely lady behind Dessert Garden, to check out their latest Fresh Fruit Milk Tea Hot Pot. This dessert is limited edition and will be available for a couple more weeks. Keep your eyes open for our Instagram post.

Check out our article for more info on Dessert Garden.

Dessert Garden (Northbridge)
A speciality dessert store serving a number of highly customisable Taiwanese and Asian desserts (think taro, shaved ice, herbal jelly and coconut sago), a range of bubble tea and vegan options.

Tea Garden

🍜 Cantonese Style Crispy Noodle $13.9

Tea Garden is on our list of go-to restaurants when we're craving Malaysian dishes. They serve up Paige's favourite rendition of Cantonese style crispy noodles.

πŸ§€ Cheese Baked Rice w/ Beef Rendang $15.9

My favourite here is their cheese baked rice with beef rendang.

Utopia

A serving of bubble tea framed with a red blanket
πŸ§‹ Brown Sugar Fresh Milk $7

Without a doubt, Utopia was the bubble tea store of choice for many of us who grew up in Perth. We ordered a brown sugar soy bubble tea and were given an extra brown sugar bubble tea by the owner as it was made with the wrong milk (e.g. not soy milk) πŸ™ˆ. I can confirm I am still able to process lactose, no problems at all πŸ˜‚.

Hifumiya

Top down shot of a bowl of udon
🍜 Pork Kimchi Bukkake Udon (L) $14.8

Last on the list is Hifumiya, Perth's first specialty udon store. Paige and I's go-to here is their pork kimchi bukkake udon. This was actually designed by a customer in 2019!

Check out our article for more info on Hifumiya.

Hifumiya
Perth’s only specialty udon store that also aspires for its customers to experience and develop an interest in Japanese culture.
