β€Œβ€Œβ€ŒThe Best Thing We Ate ⭐️

Angelo's Seafood

For our sashimi needs, we go to Angelo's Seafood in South Perth. We've been frequenting them for over the past year and can't fault them at all.

For a lazy weekend dinner, we ordered around $30 of sashimi and made hand roll sushi at home. The cool weather definitely helps to keep the sashimi fresh!

Look at that beautiful toro (10 o'clock) and salmon belly (5 o'clock)!

We'll be posting about Angelo's Seafood later this week. Stay tuned!β€Œ

β€ŒWhat We Ate 🍴

Rossonero Trattoria

We still have a little bit of eating fatigue from our Melbourne and Sydney trip, which was nearly two months ago! #FirstWorldProblems we know. When in doubt, we swing by Rossonero for some of their delicious pizza.

πŸ„ Specktacular Shrooms $19 - speck, button mushrooms, mozzarella, red onion, rosemary, pepper, garlic base

πŸ‘‘ The King $19 - cacciatore, crushed potatoes, mozzarella, caramelised onions, rosemary & cream base

We've also noticed the addition of pasta (lasagne) and antipasti on their menu (both coming soon) and they've got us excited! 🀀

Check out our article for more info on our favourite pizza place.

🍦 Milo, bubble tea and yuzu $10 ish

After filling ourselves with glorious pizza, we swung by Delicioso for a couple scoops of gelato. Milo, bubble tea and yuzu were our scoops for the night. The Milo was *chefs kiss* and paired beautifully with the bubble tea ice-cream. We weren't initially a fan of the yuzu, but towards the end we appreciated it as it served like a palate cleanser (think of orange + chocolate).

Delicioso has also revamped their dining area. What a difference the warm lamps make! It adds a nice cosy feeling to the previously (objectively) sterile place. It was bustling at 9:30 pm when we went.

As usual, you'll find a bunch of Asian inspired flavours that push the envelope in terms of gelato flavours. South East Asians will appreciate (or fear) these flavours of gelato! πŸ˜‚

If you haven't already, check out Delicioso gelato for gelato with an Asian twist and be sure to check out our article.

Half newsagent, half dessert store, Delicioso Gelato serves up gelato with an Asian twist (think pandan, durian, kaya toast, teh tarik and more!).

Chopsticks Viet Restaurant

A couple friends have harped on about Chopsticks' bo luc lac, which is commonly known as "shaking beef". Even Mum raved on about how good it is, so I knew I had to try it out (Asian parents giving any form of praise must mean it's good, right?). For those not familiar with the dish, shaking beef is a French-Vietnamese inspired dish which features, you guessed it, beef. The beef is cut into cubes before being sautΓ©ed.

🍚 Com Chien Bo Luc Lac $22 - shaking beef fried rice

At $22, the dish is on the steeper side. Most Vietnamese restaurants will price is around $17 - $19 and perhaps charge an extra dollar or two for fried rice. The $22 price tag Β was irrelevant after seeing how big the serving was! Beef was juicy and the serving was generous, even as a larger eater. Will be definitely back for this!
