Kozy Restaurant

The best thing we ate this week comes courtesy of Kozy Restaurant. Kozy Restaurant is Cherry & Grapes' sister restaurant led by Chef James Park - who previously worked as sous chef at the two starred Michelin restaurant in Korea, Alla Prima. Currently, the team at Kozy offer a degustation menu but will be transitioning to a la carte from November 2022.

If you're a fan of dumplings, then you probably have frequented Authentic Bites at some point. Our favourites here are the xiao long bao (soup dumplings) and the prawn and pork wontons in spicy peanut sauce.

Kukan Izayaka "ten-don"

Our friends at Kukan Izakaya have opened up for lunch service on the weekends where they offer "ten-don"- tempura rice bowls. Each set comes with your tempura bowl of choice, pickles, miso soup, salad and taiyaki to finish off the meal. If you're a fan of modern Japanese (ahem, like Nobu), then we highly recommend going to Kukan for dinner!

General Store

For a quick lunch, I popped into the new General Store in Myaree (right next to Jinny & Co), which is the new store from the folks behind Angelo Street Market in South Perth. You'll find their usual sandwich bar and a wide range of gourmet goods. Do expect a line when visiting during lunch hours though!

I was craving a conti roll - so I opted for the "God Father" which essentially is.. A conti roll on steroids.
