Over the last week, we checked out five places. We swung by the Beer & Beef festival for the first time and visited BOBA BOBA's new Belmont store.

The Best Thing We Ate ⭐️
DJ's Willagee Lunch Bar
Undoubtedly, the best thing we ate this week was "The Mighty Banh Mi" from DJ's Willagee Lunch Bar. It was my second time eating this and Paige's first time.
This might even be one of our favourite banh mi that we've had. We're big fans of the "not so crusty bread" here. And you can't ever go wrong with getting both roast pork and the Vietnamese cold cuts as well. I have a soft spot for BMT with Vietnamese cold cuts as it reminds me of my childhood, so it's always great being to get cold cuts AND roast pork in a single roll 😋.

Chimek Halloween Specials 2022
The kind folks at Bento Box Studio invited us to check out Chimek's Halloween specials for this year. The verdict? It. Was. Spicy.
The non-spicy wings had a gochujang sauce which was delicious - we'd go back for it! By the time you read this, the Halloween promotion will be over. But you can still grab the gochujang wings!
Beer & Beef Festival 2022
We checked out Beer & Beef festival for the first time this weekend! Thank you to @leenthefoodie for the tickets ❤️. Stay tuned for our post later this week. Spoiler: we loved some sours from Gweilo beer (as a Canto speaker, the name Gweilo makes me chuckle) and Paige thoroughly enjoyed a Old Youngs x Funk Cider G&T cider.
Costco
The excuse to drive.. 20 odd minutes to Costco, is to get cheap fuel. At least that's what I tell myself 😂 (technicaaaally waiting 10 - 15 minutes in line for "cheaper" fuel is frankly, a waste of time, but yet, we still do it 😅).
I joke. We genuinely had to pick some things up. We can never go past grabbing a couple slices of pizza at Costco, as well as their hot dog. Their supreme pizza here is *chefs kiss* (we like it as much as super simple Naples style thin pizza). It appears Costco's rotated to their "spring" menu, removing their clam chowder from the menu. Replacing it, is a butter chicken pie. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing. Probably not something we'd get again..
BOBA BOBA (Belmont)
BOBA BOBA has opened their third store in Belmont, right next to Belmont Oriental Store. Banh mi and boba, anyone? 😋
