β€Œβ€ŒThe Best Thing We Ate ⭐️

Sha Patisserie

125 St Georges Terrace, Perth WA 6000

A friend and old colleague of ours opened up her own patisserie in the CBD (Brookfield Place, under the BHP building) a couple weeks back. We finally were able to make some time to visit!

Strawberry lychee mousse and chocolate cake
Strawberry lychee mousse $9.5 & almond x chocolate cake

Our favourite of Trish's was the strawberry lychee mousse. We'll be posting later about Sha Patisserie later this week, so keep your eyes peeled!

What We Ate 🍴

Nao Ramen

Top down shot of shoyu ramen with chashu slices showing
Shoyu ramen with extra chashu (+$3) $14 (pictured $17)

When in doubt, Nao Ramen is always a safe choice for food. By far, still our favourite ramen place for shoyu ramen.

Nao Ramen (Perth)
One of the OGs in the Perth ramen scene, serving up lighter broth variants of ramen and offering guests the ability to customise their bowl of ramen to their hearts desire.

Two Hands Noodle Shop

Noodles with fried egg and anchovies
Pan mian dry with fried egg (L) $13.9

We usually order a handful of things from Two Hands with pan mian and kolomee being on the usual list.

Tai Son

Top down of rice with roast pork and roast chicken
Two meat rice (roast pork and roast chicken) $14

The smell of BBQ meats (sui laap) as I walked past Tai Son during my weekly grocery shop got me weak. I couldn't resist but to pop in and grab some BBQ pork and roast chicken. It hit the spot! Admittedly the serving was on the petite size for the price. But one could argue you also get what you pay for in terms of pricing.

Birraz Ristobar

Top down of cut up sausage on a triangular shaped plate
SALSICCIA DI BUFALO $26 - Pan fried buffalo sausage served with olives & toasted ciabatta bread

I've heard lots about Birraz Ristobar, so I decided to check it out with fellow foodies @alexperthfoodie and @leenthefoodie.

Close up of bucatini pasta
BUCATINI AL TARTUFO $36 - Homemade truffle flavour bucatini pasta served with italian sausages & porcini mushrooms creamed with parmesan cheese

The favourite was the bucatini al tartufo, followed by the burrata and nduja. Both were *chefs kiss*.

Close up of burrata cheese, assorted green vegetables and cherry tomatoes
BURRATA & NDUJA $26 - Burrata cheese & nduja served with crostini

Ischia

Chilli mussels with bread
Mussels $29 - Arrabiata Sauce with White Pepper, served with Sliced Bread

Alex, Leen and I left Birraz craving.. Pizza. So, the natural thing to do was eat said pizza. Ischia, around the corner, served up the goods. We opted for a white base pizza to contrast with the arrabiata sauce. It worked beautifully (and soaked up all the beautiful sauce) 😊.

Hand holding a slice, of cheese pizza
Biancaneve $20 - Mozzarella Cheese, Parmigiano, Fresh Basil & Extra Virgin Olive Oil

It was my first time there and I'm looking forward to going back to try more things!
