ββThe Best Thing We Ate βοΈ
7 grams
A friend of ours was in time and was after fried chicken. Naturally, that meant a visit to 7 Grams. We suggest getting their 7 Grams special combo which should be a comfortable feed for 3 - 4 people. A number of your typical Korean dishes can also be found on their menu (also pictured - beef bibimbap and kimchi pancake).
What We Ate π΄
Hinata (banzai omakase)
We popped back to Hinata during their second week of dinner service (Wednesday to Fridays), where they're serving up obanzai cooking in an omakase style.
To paraphase Wikipedia, obanzai is a traditional style of Japanese cuisine native to Kyoto. Ingredients in obanzai cooking must also be in season. Obanzai cooking heavily relies on vegetables and seafood, prepared simply.
Keep your eyes peeled for our updated article on Hinata Cafe which will cover their obanzai omakase on Sunday.
Hakata Gensuke
Eating nearly half a dozen pieces of fried chicken for lunch at 7 Grams, left myself and Paige in a heavy food coma. By Perth standards, Hakata Gensuke is open "late" - with the place closing around 9:30 pm. We both got ourselves a bowl of their shoyu ramen - probably their lightest ramen broth.
Artem Coffee
A friend and I were actually meant to grab some bagels from Bagel O's in Mount Lawley for lunch on the weekend. Unfortunately, they were sold out by the time we got there. So back to old trusty Artem in Mount Pleasant. Their reuben is my go to order here.
We've previously written about Artem Coffee. Check out our article for more.
