This past week we made our second visit to Omakase Haku. Stay tuned for an updated Omakase Haku article.

It’s a public holiday this coming Monday - so be sure to follow Ana over at @perth_foodies_checklist for her guide on “what’s open on Labour Day public holiday”!.

Overall, it was a lighter week in terms of eating. Pizzeria Tiramisu and Rasa Sayang are new visits, bringing our tally now to:

‌‌The Best Thing We Ate ⭐️

Omakase Haku

Japanese egg with foie gras, caviar and unagi
Unagi, foie gras, nori and caviar tamago

Unequivocally, Omakase Haku wins best thing we ate all week. The dish? Chef Young's double foies gras nori caviar tamago. It. Was. Wild.

Look. At. That. Foie gras (this was only half of it)

Omakase Haku is probably Perth's most elusive omakase. It makes securing a booking at Marumo seem like child-splay. Is it worth it? We think so. You won't find anything else like it in Perth.

The bad news. Omakase Haku is booked out for the rest of the year. Occasionally, there cancellations, so best to follow Chef Young over at instagram

Check out our article if you haven't already.

Omakase Haku (Victoria Park)
A private 6 seater omakase which was one of the best meals of 2022 and one of the top Japanese meals we’ve had.

What We Ate 🍴

Pizzeria Tiramisu

Close up of pizza with lamb, broccoli and cheese
CAPTAIN MARVEL $25 - Fresh mozzarella, provolone cheese, broccoli, lamb, black peppe
Close up of a hand holding up a slice of pizza with tomato, cherry tomato and burrata
FLASH $26 - Home-made basil pesto, fresh mozzarella, sliced potatoes, burrata mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil
Hand holding tiramisu in a tub
TIRAMISU $12 - Traditional Italian coffee flavoured dessert

These days, we're a bit lazy to travel out to go eat. Especially when it's hot. For a layz night in, we grabbed pizza from Pizzeria Tiramisu. It won't be our last time!

Cafe Rasa Sayang

Overhead shot of lamb curry, chicken 65, briyani and pappadum on a leaf shaped plate
Briyani, lamb curry and chicken 65 $18.5

And to round up another week of eating - the final eat out meal of the week was at Cafe Rasa Sayang. You'll find some delicious Malaysian Indian food here. Be sure to stop by Master Chang's for a curry puff or Asian pastry (or two) afterwards.
