β€Œβ€ŒThe Best Thing We Ate ⭐️

Our last visit to Thanh Dat was mid last month. We were unfortunately unable to get our hands on a bowl of their short rib pho. By the time we got there (7:30 pm on a Sunday night), it had sold out! So last week, we knew we had to get in early.

For the past couple of weeks, we've been trialling earlier dinners on Sundays, which have been awesome (we usually eat quite late - anytime from 8 pm onwards) as by the time you're done with dinner, the night is still young. Last Sunday, we managed to snag the last couple serves of short rib pho at Thanh Dat, at around 6:30 pm.

To date, it's one of our favourite bowls of pho in Perth. Big eaters (myself included) will find the pho here to be very reasonable in terms of portion size. The short rib makes the bowl just that extra bit more substantial and filling.

So this week, it wins best thing we ate.

Wagyu tai chanh - Vietnamese wagyu carpaccio $19 - wagyu MB9+ salad with onion, coriander, chilli, roasted jasmine rice, homemade lemon crispy garlic & sweet fish sauce vinaigrette 

Their wagyu carpaccio is something we've been meaning to try for some time too. A super refreshing way to open your palate.


What We Ate 🍴

Last week also marked our.. Third time devouring pizzas from Slowdough Pizza. This time around, we ordered three pizzas. Between the two of us, we managed to finish two and a half pizzas (with the other pizza we ordered being Mary's Lamb).

The Bull might be our new favourite here. The roast capsicum and pesto works wonders!

Admittedly, Paige and I aren't the biggest on blue cheese and this pizza did reconfirm that.

Following Sunday night pho, we dropped into Dessert Garden for their peal milk tea snowflake ice. A favourite of ours!
