ββThe Best Thing We Ate βοΈ
Canton Lane
It's been a while since we've had dimsum, so we decided to revisit old favourite, Canton Lane. Food here is still delicious as always.
To date, I (Eddy) have never had "western" porridge π.
We can never leave dimsum without getting a serve of egg tarts!
What We Ate π΄
Market Grounds
Last Wednesday night, we dropped into Market Grounds for "The Gnocchi Club" - two hours of all you can eat gnocchi. It's priced at a fairly reasonable $35 per person and unless you're a competitive eater, two hours is more than enough time.
Between four of us, we tapped out after 12 plates of gnocchi.
For more, check out our post over on Instagram.
Paperbark Burgers
We discovered a new, close by burger joint, courtesy of our friend Daz. Daz and his wife Tracey head up Artem Coffee, one of our favourite cafes in Perth (do show them some love).
Their burger of the month was a mac and cheese themed beef burger. Burgers here come smashed, so the addition of another beef patty didn't feel too over the top. We'll be back!
Pietro Gelateria
Naturally, after burgers, we wanted something sweet. It was a 25 minute drive from Paperbark Burgers to Pietro Gelateria in Vic Park. And it was worth it.
Until August 3 Pietro Gelateria have a "People's Choice" range of flavours, where they uncover some cult favourites.
Check out more in our post.
Two Hands Noodle Shop
We ended our week of eating at Two Hands Noodle Shop. It was one of the rare occasions where they still had a big bao left in the steamer (usually these sell out pretty early). Having this bao reminded me of the bao uncle who used to occupy what used to be Suzie's Prata House in Spencer Village.
