ββThe Best Thing We Ate βοΈ
Izakaya Jigoro
Hifumiya by day, izakaya by night, Izakaya Jigoro is one of those places where it's best to visit with a large group of friends, so that you can order more! We dined in a group of four and were reasonably full by the end. The bill amounted to around $65 per person.
Paige's favourite was the cured mackerel aburi style.
My faves were the cucumber with moromiso - fresh, crispy cucumber, which made up for the somewhat sad, smashed cucumber at Qin's a couple weeks back.
And of course, being a bigger eater, I quite enjoyed the kakuni. The serving size seemed to be pretty reasonable for the price point.
What We Ate π΄
Cuccini Gelato
Cuccini's salted caramel gelato was a rich boi. Next up on our to try list at Cuccini - their blood orange sorbet.
Tommasinos
Friday night's involved hitting three places, probably over the course of 3 hours. Some friends and I started out at Tommansinos for what you could probably call "entree". My favourite at Tommansinos was their strangozzi alla norcina. The first and definitely not the last time I'll be at Tommansinos.
Hermanos en Cantina
Friday night's second course involved tacos at Hermanos en Cantina. Their prawn tacos are probably our favourites.
Cafe Guilty Pleasure
Dessert was a short walk back down the Mt. Lawley strip - at the busy as always Cafe Guilty Pleasure. The favourite of the night was the injeolmi bingsu with matcha base. Cafe Guilty Pleasure still remains as our favourite Korean style cafe, in Perth.
Uncle Lam
We don't normally eat in Morley, but when we do, likely, it's Vietnamese and / or inside of Coventry Village. Our family lunch was had at Uncle Lam.
Phoever Vietnamese
For us, Phoever's banh mi's closeness to deliciousness ratio ranks very high. Since opening up, maybe a month or two ago it's curbed all our banh mi cravings. This visit marked my third visit - with it probably being the most enjoyable too.
