The Best Thing We Ate ⭐️
Momo Dessert Cafe
Momo Dessert Cafe still ranks as one of the most underrated Japanese (or "Asian fusion") places in Perth. This time around, I visited for lunch with some friends and was able to try their aburi mentaiko salmon don. As expected from the mentaiko, the dish was super rich and paired nicely with the tender aburi salmon, seaweed and masago.

What We Ate 🍴
Angelo's Seafood
For all our sashimi needs, we go to Angelo's Seafood, appropriately located on.. Angelo street in South Perth. We've pretty much stopped ordering sashimi (with the exception of more premium fish) in restaurants, since discovering Angelo's Seafood. Be sure to serve your sashimi on crushed ice though - it really elevates the eating experience (they kindly gave us some ice with ours)!
On Fire Charcoal Chicken
Friday night involved staying in at home, having some old friends over and grabbing takeaway. I've been craving charcoal chicken for the past couple of weeks now and said cravings have been kurbed by On Fire Charcoal Chicken.
This time around, I ordered their Mega Pack (3 chickens) and tried out their fried cauliflower and koftas. Completely overestimating how much my friends would eat - I did end up with some pretty delicious leftovers for the day after.
Fibber McGee's
For a late Father's Day celebration, I took Dad to Fibber McGees as he was after steak. At the time of our visit, their lunchtime steak option was limited to sirloin steak, so best dine at night if you want to try different cuts of steak.
