Most memorable eats over the month
Coffee Heads
Coffee Heads is chef Brendan Pratt's (ex-Vasse Felix head chef) latest culinary adventure. From fine dining food to something more everyday. Kinda sounds like the story of The Bear, if you ask me. Our favourite was the roast chicken roll.
Elski
Elski is a Danish ice-creamery and is a relatively new addition to the food scene in Dunsborough. Paige opted for a strawberries and cream, while I had a scoop of their avocado and lime. The avo and lime was one of the most memorable scoops of ice-cream all year.
Vasse Felix
We asked a bunch of friends which winery to dine at, and Vasse Felix was the unanimous answer. Food was great! Fun fact, Vasse Felix is also the founding winery of the Margaret River Wine region.
I actually ended up mistakingly booking the week beforehand, but luckily, the team was able to accommodate us on the day. Our favourite course was the toothfish.
Alberta's
Now this is legitimately, the real life The Bear. I first heard about Alberta's on the Dirt Linen food podcast late last year, and knew I had to visit, during my next trip down. Alberta's is headed up by chef Ben Ing, previously head chef of Noma - which has once won top restaurant in the world.
Our fave here was the turnip soup. Massive shoutout to the lovely staff and incredibly friendly Kirsty. As Adam driver says, "good soup".
Naab
Last Friday we visited Naab - an Afghani Persian restaurant. We enjoyed Naab's sharing platter with a couple friends.
Frootie Bootie
Some friends of ours have opened up a new smoothie bar in Leederville, replacing what was Presotea. Timing couldn't have been better, just as the weather's started heating up. More on this later this week.
