WEEKLY DIGEST 087 | 17 NOV 2023

Last week was a smaller week of eating. We're off to Japan in January next year, so we're trying to save as much coin as we can. In doing so, we'll be *trying* to dine at cheaper places. I write this in irony - given we splashed two green notes on dinner last Friday at Omakase Haku 🙈. Frankly, the meal was very much worth it!

‌‌The Best Thing We Ate ⭐️

Omakase Haku

Last week we made our third visit to Omakase Haku which has been our favourite visit so far.

Unequivocally, the best thing we ate last week was Chef Young’s A5 wagyu katsu sando. A delicious harmony of the fatty A5 wagyu from Kagoshima (our sister city), ever so slightly sweet shokupan, flavourful tare and a generous shaving of foie gras. It was one of the most delicious morsels we've had for some time.

A private 6 seater omakase which was one of the best meals of 2022 and one of the top Japanese meals we’ve had.

Two Handles Noodle Shop

Paige has been craving noodles and I didn't really want ramen or pho. So no better place to go than Two Hands Noodle Shop!

When available, I always like to crab one of their Two Hands big bao too.

3230 Smoke + Grill

Finishing up the week, we had burgs from 3230 Smoke + Grill. The chips were nice and crispy!
