ββThe Best Thing We Ate βοΈ
Hitomebore
We swung by Hitomebore on Saturday, just before hitting up a Black Friday sale at IKEA. The food here never disappoints! We'll be off to Japan early next year, so we're excited to lots of tendon π.
What We Ate π΄
Odyssea
The last entry of this week was at Odyssea in City Beach. I'm normally a little apprehensive of venues by the beach, as they can be better known for their views, rather than food. I dropped by for a function with some friends and can gladly say that I enjoyed the food.
The stand-out dishes for the night were the market fish and the dark chocolate rhubarb dome, both of which were well balanced in terms of flavour and texture.
Bonus β¨
Hamoni Homewares
We made our first visit to Hamoni Homewares to pick up some housewarming gifts for a friend. Hamoni is a specialty Japanese homewares store. The folks here also own Super Tetsudo and Super Souper, both of which use the same suppliers.
If only my salary allowed me to shop here all the time!
Hamoni is home to lots of beautiful ceramics, with many of them reminding me of the beautiful dials of Grand Seiko watches (or does Grand Seiko draw inspiration from Japanese ceramics π€).
