This week we have a number of Asian eats. The best thing we ate this week was Tosaka Ramen's tori paitan ramen.
Weekly Digest is our weekly newsletter where we uncover what we ate over the past week.
Last week we visited four places. It was our first time visiting Tansawa Modern Japanese, with the other eateries being places we've eaten at before.

βοΈ The Best Thing We Ate
Tosaka Ramen rates highly at the top of our ramen list in Perth and is our favourite tori ramen (chicken ramen). If you like creamy, tonkotsu ramen, then give Tosaka Ramen a slurp. You can't go wrong with any of Tosaka Ramen's ramen (vegetable ramen included!). Our pick is either their white original tori paitan or black garlic tori paitan.

Tansawa Modern Japanese
We visited Tansawa Modern Japanese for the first time in many years - with our first visit being during our uni days!
Owners Jonny and Yukie Tansawa have extensive experience in the Perth Japanese food scene. The couple previously owned Tansawa Tei (located where Sura in Northbridge currently is). Since then, Johnny has completed a stint working at Sushia Izakaya.
The menu at Tansawa Modern Japanese can be described as a mix of izakaya style (Japanese bar) food and dishes reminiscent of Nobu.

Hansik
We were a bit lazy to venture out for food on Friday night given the heat, so we revisited Hansik, a local Korean restaurant. Chef-owner David (ex-Nobu) and his team serve up a number of Korean favourites.
Hansik probably serve up our favourite fried chicken in Perth. The kimchi fried rice here is also delicious.
It's been a while since we dined in. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that Hansik have since implemented a QR code / phone ordering system. Having said that, we did forget to note down prices, but we spent around $51 ish between the two of us.
Thanh Dat
After #FriedChickenFriday, we opted for a slightly "healthier" feeling lunch at Thanh Dat.
The serving size for the short rib pho is perfect for larger eaters.
