WEEKLY DIGEST | MAY 03
We're back from our first international trip in 3 years! πΈπ¬
Weekly Digest is our weekly newsletter where we revisit what we ate over the past week.
Last week, we were in Singapore and we're now back! Unfortunately we ate something dodgy towards the end our Singapore trip and both Paige and I are recovering from food poisoning (luckily it only hit just as we were coming back). Having said that, we're looking forward to lots of "western" food (Rossonero is high on the visit list π€©) once our appetites return to normal.
This week's edition of Weekly Digest is more of an update if anything (shamelessly plugging a couple of our travel photos). We'll be back to proper programming next week. I grossly overestimated how much work we could get done in our tiny room (if you've ever been to Tokyo, our hotel room was a little bigger than your standard Tokyo hotel room..), so we didn't end up sending out Ate It & Rate It last week. Stay tuned as it'll drop within the next week.
Over the next couple weeks, we'll do a little travel blog series breaking down all our eats and some of the things we did over our short stay in Singapore. We'll first start off with an exhaustive list of every single meal we had in Singapore*.
*Spoilers: this includes our airplane food because - why not, some South Eastern Asian fare, some Western fare and our most favourite cuisine, Japanese as well (we were pretty amazed at the hyper specific range of Japanese food you can get in Singapore!).
If you have any new fantastic food finds, we'd love you to let us know via DM or email. If you have different opinions to us on food, that's fine - let us know too! We love to chat all things food.
Eddy & Paige
But first! Travel!
We're grateful to be able to travel internationally again.
Changi Airport's amazing 12 storey feat of engineering - Jewel.
I love the brutalist architecture of People's Park Compex in Chinatown. We struggled a bit trying to get to the place!
Singapore's flagship Apple store - an absolute beaut of engineering and architecture (kind of looks like if Apple made a Death Star).
We try visit the ArtScience Museum every time we're in Singapore. This time, they had an Attack on Titan exhibition (we've both been following AoT for some time - and it's the only anime I followed for a long time).
What We Ate π΄
In addition to Singapore food posts, later this week we'll cover Little Gan's and Delish Pho BMT.
Little Gan's
Little Gan's is a restaurant run by a friend's partner. Expect great meals here as the small kitchen team brings experience from Nobu, Calia (Melbourne), Higher Ground (Melbourne), Fleur and more!
Delish Pho & BMT
We're happy to have found Delish Pho & BMT after seeing foodie friend @leenthefoodie post about it. We can confirm the pho was delicious and can save us south of the river folks the trip up to Morley and beyond for a bowl of pho.
